Megan Roen Forman: Gracious Bakery + Café is the culmination of Megan’s years of experience as a pastry chef. After a number of years spent working in New York restaurants and patisseries, among them Park Avenue Café and Payard, Megan returned home to her native New Orleans to take the position of Pastry Chef at Bayona Restaurant. She then joined the pre-opening team of Sucré and worked as the Assistant Pastry Chef. Her work has appeared in the New York Daily News, Pastry Art and Design, Modern Bride, Chocolatier, and Art Culinaire, and has been selected as a Rising Star Pastry Chef by Starchefs.com.
Jay Forman: Jay’s work has not appeared in Chocolatier or Modern Bride, nor has he been selected as a Rising Star Pastry Chef. However, his writing does appear in New Orleans Magazine, Food and Dining Magazine, and other publications nationwide. A native New Orleanian, Jay is proud to be able to contribute in a small way to the ongoing renaissance of New Orleans and can occasionally be found making sandwiches at Gracious, a modern-day Arthur Dent.
