King Cake Filling

Cream Cheese King Cake Filling


Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese

  • 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar

  • 1 large egg yolk

  • Pinch of salt

  • ¼  teaspoon pure vanilla extract


Directions

  • In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, egg yolk, salt, and vanilla until smooth.

  • Transfer the mixture to a resealable plastic bag.

  • Cut the tip off one corner of the filled plastic bag so you have a 1-inch hole.

  • Use the bag to pipe the filling in a long line down the center of your rolled out king cake dough.

  • Roll up dough, and proceed with the package directions.
